History: In 2005, Johnny Test was first aired on Kid's W.B. The show was drawn better, the stories were not that bad, characters and jokes were not overused, and the animation was not created on Flash. What I believe is that the people producing the show were serious on what they were creating. They didn't want to over-do anything because that will cause many complaints about the show. In the early versions of Johnny Test, I believe that the Intro to the show was better than the newer versions. When Kid's W.B. ran out of business, the show was then sent to Cartoon Network ("C.N."). This is when things gone out of place. Now the whole crew didn't care about the style they used in 2005. What changes did they make and what styles did they forget? I will list them to you.
Story: This forgotten style irritated me the most. The story has changed dramatically and the same plots are overused. For example, How many times have you seen the plot of Johnny, Duke, sisters, Bling Bling Boy, CIA people, Military guy, cat, Darth Vegan, and Ice guy in some kind of race or contest? This story was overused and recycled many times. This makes the show boring to watch. The show sometimes steals or borrows other plots from other shows. For example, in 2012, "Almost Naked Animals" were aired. They then created the episode where Octo tries to get his face on a box of cereal by breaking one of the useless records. He then wins by trying 36 (maybe) times. Johnny Test steals that plot and crated minor changes. It is now where Johnny tries to win a contest to get a trophy and like the episode of Octo, he wins by trying 100 times. The stories are too related and unoriginal. Scott Fellows, if you are out of ideas, please read a book or something.
Voices and dialogue : I think the the voices are fine. Rumor has it, the voices for one of the sisters was voiced by a blind and deaf girl. Or was she just blind? Duke's voice has been changed over the years 3 times. I believe that every season, he changes the voice actor. The one that played on the recent season is terrible. The voices doesn't sound like Duke and it makes him sounds more intelligent. I don't like the fact of this. I also hate the fact that they made Johnny sound retarded (even though its hilarious to the haters and I. This makes him look so stupid). A dialogue that make's him say phrases like "Johnny want cookie" is a reason why we dislike him and the show. They also reuse parts of dialogue like "You know your a (adjective),right?" or "We are not (adjective), we're (adjective). There is a huge difference." This makes the characters appear more annoying and unlikable. This is also a tactic "Annoying Orange" uses to be so annoying.
Animation: As I said before, they now use Flash animation. I find that impressive, but I find that this show is a foil to the well known and successful "My Little Pony: Friendship is magic". They were both made on Flash, but had different out comes. In the second season, they once used C.G.I. animation to help them animate a helicopter. I was really amazed by this fact and found that really impressive. But that doesn't make up the lazy "blur" effect or the unappealing backgrounds. I also believe that the elemental animations such as water splashes or explosions were done well. Still, the animation is terrible. A few things won't make up the whole entire show.
Sound effects: Terrible and overused. Nothing more shall be said.
These are reasons why I personally dislike Johnny Test.
